used to hear thunder he would stop talking and say:
‘How perfect He is
(The One) Whom the
thunder declares His perfection with His praise
as do the angles out of
fear of Him.’

A l-Ladh ī Yusab biĥu
A r-Ra`du Biĥam dihi
Wa A l-Malā 'ikatu
Min Kh īfatihi.

بِحَمْدِهِ، وَالمَلائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيْفَتِهِ.

وَالإِيْمَانِ، وَالسَّلامَةِ
وَالإِسْلامِ، وَالتَّوْفِيْقِ
لِمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَى، رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكَ
اللَّه.
